With the summer season coming to a close, its time to switch the summer clothes for a new fall wardrobe. As of late I love the neutral tones that have been stomping the runways since last spring to the celebrity filled red carpets. While many of the tones from spring (nudes, whites, etc.) have been muted, this fall brings in a warmer touch to (IMO=in my opinion) this fashion staple.
One of my favorite designer brands, Chloe, who splashed various neutral shades (whites, nudes, khaki, camel, grey, brown, chocolate brown and etc.) across their fall 2010 collection. I love the way Chloe, made their own twist by giving the color a modern version of a 1970’s /1980’s businesswoman on the run. I think it’s the balance between masculine/feminine that really caught my attention.

WORD TO THE WISE-Here are a few TIPS to Wearing:
-Sure some of the runway looks are head to toe one color, But I say you should break the look up by using different tones and textures to give the look a chic yet put together outfit. Example: pair masculine chocolate brown leather/pleather shorts with a feminine chiffon white pussybow blouse.
-If you are afraid to wear straight neutrals, try expressing the look through your shoes and accessories. Example: camel colored oxfords to faux crocodile bag.
-This is one fashion trend that can be paired with another trend without looking like fashion OVERKILL!!! Example: Wearing a jewel tone blouse with khaki colored chinos.
-LASTLY, Neutrals are a classic thing to have and great investment for your closet. So push caution to the wind when you find that great chocolate brown Birkin bag or chic penny loafers and splurge.
