CINEMATIC FASHION SPELL

Have you ever been so inspired by the story telling in a movie by how the actors act to the across the scene stealing fashions?  Well I have,  I think that the  fashion styling in a movie helps tell a story about who a character is of where they are heading and where they are going.  Also who doesn't love great fashion.  I truly and sincerely want to have a hand at styling in the fashion industry whether it be movies, television, commercials, fashion shows, red carpet, celebrities, everyday people, magazine editorials, etc.  On that note here is my list of cinematic inspirations that have inspired me even more throughout the years of wanting to become a fashion/wardrobe stylist.

Funny Face:

What could be more fabulous than the ultimate Style Icon, Audrey Hepburn, featured in some of the Late and Great Givenchy's designs.  I just love this movie, it is one of if not my favorite Audrey Hepburn Movie.

Mahogany:

The story starts off with character Tracy Chambers (Diana Ross), a girl in the ghettos of Chicago dreaming of having her fashion designs featured on all the hot runways.  AS the story progresses Tracy's dreams develops into an unexpected Modeling career.  I'm obsessed with all the fashions, true fact Ms. Ross herself was the costume/creative director for the movie.  GOTTA LOVE THAT!!!

PRETTY PINK:

I didn't know that all pink could be o-so fashionable in a gleamer of a teenage girl who wants to date the Popular guy in High school.  Molly Ringwald stole my heart in this movie and she will forever be remembered as the Queen of the 80's movies.

THE LEGEND OF BILLIE JEAN:

The modern 80's take of Joan of Arch.  Love the transformation in this this movie.

HEATHERS:

MEAN GIRLS before MEAN GIRLS existed.  ALL I have to say is CORN NUTS!

CLUELESS:

I have no words.  I think Clueless is one of my favorite movies of all time.  I'm so obsessed and watch this movie on constant repeat.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA:

SO the Devil does really wear PRADA.  Meryl of course gave one hell of a performance as an editor of a fashion magazine (cough cough Anna Wintour lol).  And Anne Hathaway's transformation from frumpy to haute couture is amazing.  Pat Field definitely did a great job on this movie!

SEX AND THE CITY:

I was already obsessed  with the show and everything Carrie Bradshaw, but Pat Field's did it again and took the shows Fashions to another level with this BANANAS movie.  I REALLY DID GET CARRIED AWAY!!!!
